Lasting Power of Attorney
Lasting Power of Attorney
We are all getting older and there may well come a time when we can’t manage our own affairs. This may be due to poor health, an accident or just old age (hopefully!). If this time comes we would want to allow a trusted person to make decisions for us. This can be done at the time but with great difficulty and expense. A better option is to set up a Lasting Power of Attorney while we are fit and well so there is one less thing to be concerned about.
There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorneys:
Lasting Power of Attorney for Property and Financial Affairs
This document deals with all financial decisions, for instance bank accounts and payment of bills or dealing with shares and investments.
Lasting Power of Attorney for Health and Welfare
This document can allow some important decisions like your medical treatment or type of care required during an illness. It is sensible planning to put these measures in place now to avoid unnecessary problems and costs in the future. True Blue Wills you can provide these in a very affordable manor as part of a full care package.
